COVID-19: Uganda Update 5/28/2020

Village Health Teams represent the health of their communities. They are asked to jeopardize their health and the health of their families while helping others in need. These VHTs and VHT leaders are the bravest people I have met, sacrificing their time in the middle of crisis to help others in midst of some of the worst malaria outbreaks in the world. How do health systems in some of the most rural, low resource parts of the world overcome pandemics? Many of us are asking what health systems? Sustainable community based health programs are at the root to developing local health access and emergency treatment/triage.
